My goal is to give you a better understanding of the wildlife around us . Many people fear what they don't understand. Thru my photography you can see wildlife HOW it teaches and interacts, and communicates with each other...we can and should make a place for them in our world. Start small in your yard or deck, grow flowers that attract butterflies and bees in the summertime and if you have more land you can expand to blueberry, blackberry , elderberry bushes. Pine and spruce trees for winter shelter and food ( seeds) . My blog is a on going photo journel of what is around me. Humming birds on flowers that I have planted. Migrating birds in the area that have stopped by to eat that native fruit I grow on my land just for them . Black bears that stop by for a swim in my casting pond .. I never know who will stop by. I am ready with camera in hand I just sit quietly and watch and wait .
Wildlife Photography
Before I wore any of the hats below.. I am a wildlife photographer first. I learned to develop film in 8th grade . Since then , I have taken many classes and workshops thru the years to improve my knowledge and ability. Now I sharpen my skills leaning MORE about the wildlife that I photograph...some things you will Never get from a book!
I frame, mat, and print ALL my own work. I sign each piece and apply a hand tied "fly' by me. This connects and reminds all that my photography is an extension of myself and my fly fishing. For me they both take me to the places I love the most. I do not like to flood the market with the same photo for years.. I may sell that piece 1 to 5 times then it is retired for life! I "shoot" every day, I like to keep my work original and fresh.
