On June 17th I took a short fly fishing and photo excursion to Island Beach State Park in NJ. I love going on the Off season.. I never know what I will "find " I do enjoy the challenge photographing a new wildlife subject.
The fishing was challenging because of the driving wind ..it gives new meaning to cast and duck... While I am waiting for the wind to die down I am looking for what ever may come my way..
I have never seen a Reddish Egret be photo bombed by a Willet.. who knew?
I saw Barn swallows bickering on a tree branch just a few feet from their nest...This Male wanted the female perch and he tried but she would not budge!
by the time the swallows stopped bickering the tide was up and if was time to fish. I caught several stripped bass in the Bay with a top water popper called a Gurgler....it does not get any better then that!
