I just shot this series of photos for the Brodhead Watershed Assoc on MONDAT March 27 2017. The day was warm almost 60! A lot of melting snow . We were slogging through 6 inches of slush to get to the top of the mountain! I am sure when all the snow will be gone for this well planned hike.
For those of you who would like to go on this hike please follow the link below!
The Glacier Rock in the bottom photo came from Wisconsin when the earth shifted it migrated here! The Power of the Poconos is amazing.
The middle photo is very interesting it tells me that Bear have been "Leaving Their Mark " on this Beech Tree for YEARS! . Why would they do that? Most likely it was done in Early summer late Spring . During courtship season Male Bears will Leave their mark for the females and also to tell other males this is my territory!
Happy Trails !
